When Walt Disney World opened on October 1, 1971, it opened with three resort hotels: The Contemporary Resort, Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, and the Polynesian Village Resort. The Polynesian has remained a guest favorite for almost 50 years and there are so many reasons why. I hope you enjoy this week’s Bonus Episode: All About the Polynesian.

Then I did a little bit of research and found out some crazy things about this man and the history of the Walt Disney Company, especially when it comes to the history of Disneyland. I sincerely hope you enjoy this week’s Word of the Week – Wood.

Cornelius Vanderbilt Wood (or C.V. Wood) was instrumental in the construction of the world’s first theme park, Disneyland. So why haven’t you heard of him? I’ll explain all of that and more in this week’s Word of the Week.
